Hello! My name is Matéo Penado and I'm a current student at Georgia State University pursuing an Associates in Art, with the intent to get my Masters later on! (I transferred from the University of North Georgia.)

I like to explore my queer trans latinx identity in my work and show what I've seen and experienced. For that reason, I'm not particularly tied to any one medium, nor one perspective or narrative. But I also greatly admire other's perspectives and aspire to help others and their visions. I’m trying to reconcile my love and passion for the arts and for my community together. I’m a member of the Gainesville latinx art collective, Los Radiantes, founder of The Rainbow Collective, and comrade of Anticapitalism for Artists. I’m community organizer for trans and queer rights in GVL and in the North GA region. If you want to go through my CV it’s up on that bar up there!
